The life behind the Foundation
From building
to giving.
Mario’s journey began in Frisanco, Italy, and continued in Toronto, where he arrived at 19 and found work in construction. His business later expanded into Texas.
The Foundation was established in Texas in 2007. Mario’s family remembers both the business he helped build and the charitable foundation that carries his name as parts of his legacy.
Its published history describes support for children facing difficult circumstances, medical advancement, education and artistic expression.

Education and opportunity
The Foundation supports the WISE Scholarship Program™, developed and operated by The Steele Family Foundation. Its historical coverage records participation in the WISE Scholarship Influencers Dinners in 2022, 2023 and 2025.

Its history includes support for TACA — The Arts Community Alliance — and sponsorship of The Arts Scene Podcast through WISE. Healthcare, childhood development and animal welfare also feature in its published account.
